Dehradun to Delhi only 2.5 hours: 230 pillars of elevated road ready, know when the work will be completed

Dehradun: The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will prove to be a milestone in the development of Uttarakhand. After the project gets on the ground, the journey from Dehradun to Delhi will be easy.


It will take only two and a half to three hours to reach Delhi from Doon. Asia’s largest wild life corridor will also be built in this project. The project work is progressing rapidly. 230 pillars of the elevated road have been completed. The officers of the National Highways Authority of India are working day and night. Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank along with Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli reviewed the progress of the elevated road on Wednesday. He expressed satisfaction over the speedy pace of the work and also gave some directions to the officers. He said that with the expansion of the city, the traffic pressure has increased considerably. In view of this, the expressway project near ISBT towards Dehradun should be directly connected by flyover.


He also gave instructions to prepare footpath from Chandrabani to Asharodi. On this occasion, Project Director Pankaj Maurya told that a total of 550 pillars are to be made for the 12 kilometer long elevated road. Out of these, 230 pillars have been erected and foundation work has been completed for about 300 pillars. The work of 340 meter Datkali tunnel will also be completed in March 2023 instead of October 2023.
