Pankaj Ghosh, a resident of Baidyavati, is going to make a record of watching the Football World Cup matches sitting in the stadium for the seventh time in a row.

Pankaj said, “For the first time in the year 1998, I watched the football match of the World Cup held in France sitting in the stadium. Then I came to know that the thrill of watching the match on television and watching the match in the stadium is different”.

Pankaj Ghosh told that he will leave on December 9 to see the quarter-finals to semi-finals and final matches of the FIFA World Cup Football 2020 held in Qatar. For this, he would have to spend around Rs 9 lakh, but the deposited capital was only Rs 4 lakh.
Took loan of Rs 5 lakh
Because of this he was very upset. To prevent money from becoming a hindrance in his love for football, Ghosh applied for a loan of Rs 5 lakh from a private bank. His happiness knew no bounds as soon as the loan was approved.
Ghosh says, “As long as I live, I will go to watch every World Cup like this. I have trained players for the Bengal Football Academy under the Bengal Sports Council for 25 years. I am teaching tricks. Hope that one day Bengal will reach the pinnacle of football like European countries while making the country proud”.
