New toll rule across the country, there will be no toll tax within 60 kilometers and free pass will also be issued
Now traveling on National Highway will not be heavy for your pocket and the journey will also be cut quickly. Yes, now while traveling on the highway, you will neither have to stop at tolls again and again nor will you have to pay toll tax. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari informed about this plan of the government in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday and said that now the number of toll plazas on the highway will be limited, while the local people will no longer have to pay toll.
He said that now many such complaints are received in which second toll tax has to be paid within the range of 10 km itself, which is wrong. Now people will have to pay toll only once within a radius of 60 km. That is, now only 1 toll plaza will work within the radius of so many kilometers. All other toll plazas will be removed. This work will be done within the next 3 months.
If you are local then no toll.
Nitin Gadkari said that people living along the highway often complained that they had to pay toll even for going from one village to another, while they lived nearby. Work will also be done to solve this problem. He told that the local people will not have to pay toll. They will be given a pass, showing which they will be able to travel on the highway for free.
Toll tax will be reduced in 3 months.
According to the announcement, the number of toll plazas in the country will be reduced in the coming 3 months. According to the new rule, now only one toll plaza will function within a radius of 60 km. Rest of the toll plazas will be closed.
Actually, the government is emphasizing on increasing the income from toll by increasing the traffic on the highway. On the other hand, the people living near the toll plaza always demand that they should be given relief in toll, because being local, they have to travel continuously.
